Rising Issue: Our client, a local champion in the fast-food category in their city, seeks to expand into Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. However, due to a lack of market understanding, their initial visit to Jakarta did not meet expectations, highlighting the need for strategic market information and an appropriate expansion plan.
Collaboration Objective: This project aims to provide our client with a comprehensive understanding of Jakarta’s market landscape, identify key opportunities, and design a strategy to navigate the highly competitive environment effectively, ensuring success.
What We Do: Based on our client’s previous success in their home city, we conducted a comparative study between Jakarta and their home city. We analyzed routines, behaviors, and perceptions of certain fast-food products, resulting in recommendations to prioritize channel strategies to attract target customers.
Strategic Impact: Our collaboration resulted in significant changes on the client’s side, particularly in product and channel strategy. By focusing on specific product categories and selecting high-potential malls aligned with target channel segments, the client is now able to tailor their offerings more effectively.
